Facebook is removing 5,000 targeted advertising functions to prevent discrimination

Facebook is planning to remove 5,000 targeted advertising functions to stop advertisers from excluding users based on ethnicity and religion. The moves follow a complaint by HUD and investigations that found advertisers could exclude groups like blacks and Latinos.
